Who runs this site
onepersonwins.com is operated by Elliott Coe, an individual based in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy, email hello@onepersonwins.com.
What we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to run the prize draw and keep the site working:
- When you enter a draw: your name and email address. That's it.
- When you visit any page: your IP address, the page you visited, your browser type, device type (mobile/tablet/desktop), referring URL, and the time of your visit.
- If you submit a sponsor enquiry: your name, company, email, phone (optional), website (optional), and the details of your message.
Why we collect it
- Name & email: to enter you in the draw, notify you if you win, and prevent duplicate entries. If you opt in, we'll also email you when new draws go live.
- Page view data: to understand how the site is used, spot problems, and improve the experience. This is our own lightweight analytics — we don't use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking service.
- Sponsor enquiry details: so we can respond to your enquiry and discuss potential partnerships.
What we don't do
- We never sell your data to anyone.
- We never share your email with sponsors, advertisers, or third parties.
- We don't use third-party advertising trackers, pixels, or retargeting.
- We don't build profiles about you or track you across other websites.
Cookies & local storage
We use a small number of cookies:
- Session cookie (
laravel_session): essential for the site to work. It keeps your session active and handles CSRF protection. Expires when you close your browser. - XSRF token (
XSRF-TOKEN): a security token to prevent cross-site request forgery. Also session-only. - Consent preference (
cookie_consent): remembers whether you've acknowledged the tracking notice. Stored in your browser's local storage.
We don't use any marketing, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies.
Page view tracking
When you visit a page, we log the visit to our own database. This includes your IP address, which page you viewed, your browser, device type, and referring URL. We use this data in aggregate (e.g. "how many people visited the homepage today") and don't attempt to identify individual users from it.
Your IP address is stored as-is. We don't geolocate it or enrich it with third-party data. It's used to understand traffic patterns and may be used to detect abuse.
Where your data is stored
All data is stored in a database on servers we control. We don't use third-party analytics services, CDNs that track users, or external data processors beyond our hosting provider.
How long we keep it
- Entrant data (name, email): kept for as long as the site operates, so you can enter future draws without re-entering your details.
- Page view logs: kept indefinitely for aggregate statistics. We may periodically purge old records.
- Sponsor enquiries: kept until the enquiry is resolved and then for a reasonable period after.
Your rights
If you're in the UK or EU, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate data.
- Delete your data (the "right to be forgotten").
- Object to processing of your data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email hello@onepersonwins.com and I'll sort it out personally. No form to fill in, no 30-day wait. Just me, replying to your email.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 16 years of age. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has entered their details, please contact us and we'll delete it immediately.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we'll make it obvious on the site. We won't quietly change things and hope nobody notices.
Questions?
If anything here is unclear or you want to know more, email hello@onepersonwins.com. It's just me — I'll reply personally.
